You may remember this post I wrote back in March about how to use the new embed feature in Activ Inspire to add embeded content from web 2.0 /3.0 sites to the pages of your Flipchart?  Well, the Promethean Planet forums have been a buzz with suggestions for the kinds of tools that this feature could be used with. So much so that today I think I received 15 thread updates for the forum!

It was suggested (very sensibly) that we ought to start collating the apps, websites and other tools into a google doc – a GREAT idea! I wanted to make sure that I shared the links below with you:

You can see the list here. Of course, you might also wish to add to it (i’ve added 3 so far) – you can do so here. You can find links and information about the following so far:

  • lino it
  • Prezi
  • Go Animate
  • Prezi
  • Poll Everywhere
  • Lino
  • Quizlet
  • Glogster
  • ChemED DL
  • MetService NZ
  • Voki
  • Spreaker
  • You Tube Videos
  • Twubs
  • Popplet
You’ll find the links you need and a little bit about each on the sheet.  I can’t wait to see what else gets added.
SMARTIES and Easiteach users don’t forget that this information is great for you too.  Notebook 11 (out soon) will have the option to display these sites in the new browser it will have built into it.  Easiteachers - you know that your software was the first to have this functionality anyway – you’ll find your browser in the widgets :)
I encourage you to add to the list – I love collaboration like this! :) Thanks to Anna for setting it up!
